off-season barbie content

To commemorate one of the biggest summer movie releases, Barbie, I thought it would be fun to use the template that took over social media and turn some of our players into Kens. I designed all the Kens from our IG post in photoshop.

We also took part in the Barbie vs. Oppenheimer trend using one of our most fashionable players, P.J. Tucker. Posted to both X and IG.

joel embiid x james harden pre-game

I was able to capture this clip of Joel Embiid and James Harden showing off their soccer juggling skills during warm-ups before one of the Sixers home games. Our followers ate it up and we posted to both Twitter and Instagram (in collaboration with the NBA.)

sixers win!

Sixers Win! is a tradition that was started before I arrived at the organization. It is posted to Twitter (and sometimes IG if we see fit) and can involve any sort of memes/pop culture references/trolling towards the opposing team. Other times it’s a hype photo or a simple text tweet.  Here are a few examples ideated and created by me:

vs. Pelicans:

vs. Magic:

vs. Raptors:

vs. Cavs:

vs. Bucks:

vs. Lakers:

nba jersey day

for the NBA’s annual Jersey Day in 2022, I was tasked with thinking of a creative way to bring brand awareness to both the Sixers and their jerseys. I knew I wanted whatever I did to a) be interactive and b) highlight jerseys from the past…so I finally settled on a pick 3 graphic. although I didn’t make the little clip art jerseys, I chose which ones to include after doing a deep dive into the Sixers history and I made the final graphic.

joel embiid twitter hype

After hitting a near buzzer beater three to give the Sixers the lead in round 1 game 3 vs. the Toronto Raptors, the Twitterverse was going crazy reacting to Joel Embiid’s legendary shot. I put together this montage of the best tweet reactions from people in the sports world and beyond. Posted to TW, IG and FB.

p.j. tucker x james harden walk-in

On the Halloween game in D.C. I was able to be there for the trip and captured UGC of P.J. Tucker and James Harden walking into the arena pre-game. They had very similar yet unique outfits on that people either loved or hated. Posted to Sixers TW and IG (in collaboration with the NBA.)

tyrese maxey x phillies

Sixers Guard Tyrese Maxey was invited to join the Phillies’ broadcast team while they called a game from the outfield stands. This was a surprise to everyone, from the crowd to the announcers and I was the sole person sent to capture and post content. This was also my first time using a real camera (and not a phone.) Here’s how the night went:

tweeted this photo teasing that Tyrese was at the game and up to something.

tweeted this cell phone video of fans reacting to Tyrese walking through the stands on his way to sit with the broadcasters.

took and posted these photos of Tyrese with his fellow commentators–also on Sixers Instagram and Facebook

collabed with @Phillies on IG and posted a funny byte from the broadcast the next day on both Twitter, IG Reels and Tiktok.

twins ig stories

Of all the Instagram stories I made for the Twins, the Spring Training ones were my favorite. This is partially because I really liked the branding/bright colors and partially because the team didn’t have Slate yet to make them. That’s right… I made all of these in photoshop which was a pain but also great practice using the application.
